Adult Literacy

woman with book The National Literacy Survey (1997) indicates that just 33% of adults ages 60-69 have completed postsecondary education and 38% of adult ages 60-69 have not earned a high school diploma or GED. Research also indicates that difficulty in navigating and processing complex information results out of limited prose literacy skills. The percentages are higher when it comes to health literacy as it requires navigation through complex information.
