Making Faces

Get your silliest faces ready!

The Iowa Farmer's Wife, opens a new window came up with an idea to encourage diversity and empathy.

Cut out pictures from magazines of facial features on children and babies (eyes, ears, etc.) with different expressions and accessories and place magnets on the back of each piece.

Find a metal surface (fridge, dishwasher or cookie sheet) and let your child's creative juices flow! What kind of silly faces can they make?

Don't despair if you have no magnets laying around! You can still rearrange the pieces on a tabletop.
