Board of Trustees
A seven-member Board of Trustees governs the Library District, establishes policies and employs a Library Director to carry out the policies and manage the Library District. The Board of Trustees is appointed by a joint committee made up of members of the Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners and the Deer Trail School Board. Two trustees represent the library district at large, and one trustee represents the Kelver and Davies Libraries. There is one representative for each of the following locations: Smoky Hill Library; Southglenn Library; Koelbel Library; Castlewood Library. Trustees serve a term of five years, renewable for one term, and are not paid for the work that they do for the Library District.
