New Book a Librarian Service!
Beginning in November, Arapahoe Library District patrons will be given the opportunity to reserve time with a professional librarian through the new Book a Librarian service.
Book a Librarian is a free one-on-one consultation
with a librarian. During the 30-
minute session, a librarian will be available to
focus his or her attention on helping a patron
with in-depth research and problem-solving
using all the tools of the library.
"Book a Librarian was designed to help our patrons tap into the vast resources that the Library District has to offer," said Laurie Christensen, Manager of Information Services and Community Libraries. "Our professional librarians possess the keys to unlocking a great deal of untapped information, and enjoy connecting patrons to the information they seek. We're looking forward to helping patrons further utilize our libraries as we show them sources they may not have realized existed to help answer a question or solve a problem."
Book a Librarian consultations will be offered in English, Russian or Spanish and can help patrons research or receive help with a variety of topics, including:
To use the new Book a Librarian service, patrons should begin by identifying a need or stating a question. A session can be booked one of three ways: in person at any Arapahoe Library District branch, over the phone by calling 303-LIBRARY (303-542-7279) or online.
