App Review: Story Dice

Show of hands, who loves waiting? I bet your child does, too. No?! Well, neither do I if I'm totally honest.

If you're scrambling for ideas to keep your children occupied during long waits, you'll love this. You'll be building their storytelling and sequencing skills while you wait with Rory's Story Cubes app.

Once you open the app, you'll see the dice ready for stories. Shake your device and let them roll! Rearrange them however you'd like and get telling! Lock your dice in place while you think of your story or screenshot your dice roll to use later.

Story cubes are also physical dice sets you can purchase, or you can get them all on the app (no lost dice under tables!).

You can find Rory's Story Cubes on Android, opens a new window and Apple, opens a new window for $1.99 with optional in-app theme pack purchases.

*Remember, as with all media, it's best if you and your child play together. The American Pediatrics Association recommends that children ages 2 to 5 have a trusted adult to relate what they're seeing to the world around them. They also suggest that screen time be limited to one hour a day for this age group. For more information, take a look at their recommendations for media usage, opens a new window.
