Get Up and Grow

One of the most powerful sensory experiences for children is gardening.

Whether it's plunging a hand into dirt, smelling a new flower, tasting a freshly harvested vegetable, hearing bees do their work or watching a new bud sprout through the soil, gardening is an all-encompassing experience.

As you plant your garden, vegetable or flower, talk to your children about what you're doing. Describe what will happen to the plants as they grow.

Are you envisioning a large garden? Show your children how you plan to organize.

If you don't have much space to plant in, consider keeping it small with a planter or single pot.

However you do it, your little learner will soak up the knowledge and blossom before your eyes!
