Let Your Creative Juices Flow!

January is the month to really encourage creativity among adults, teens and children! Express yourself!

Randall Munson is the man behind this incredible, creative month! Munson, a famous motivational speaker wanted to set aside a time of the year to encourage one another to push our boundaries and focus on what we want to create.  You can read his letter about his idea here.

Whether you're an artist or a writer or actor or inventor, whether you actively pursue any of these things or wish you could—now is the time to experiment! There are many ways to unleash your creative juices, and here are some resources to get started.

Sell your crafts:

  • Have you upcycled a project, or created something from scratch? Try out Etsy, a shop to sell incredible, creative things

Take a Class:

Volunteer! There are so many ways to help our community, and it doesn't matter what your expertise is:

  • Be a Reading Buddy
  • Serve breakfast to homeless youth at Urban Peak
  • Join Feat on the Street, a 5K/10K walk/run downtown to help women in our community
  • Help Metro Caring to serve food to hungry families and individuals, and educating them on nutrition and self-sufficiency
  • Be a greeter at Doctor Care and help our patients feel welcome
