Scratching Your Travel Itch

I love to travel — short trips, long trips, in the US, outside the US, pretty much any time I can. Luckily I can use many of Arapahoe Libraries' electronic resources to find great places to visit and fun things to do.

The library's newest online resource is AtoZ World Travel.Once I have signed in with my library card number, I have access to guides for over 200 world cities. I can get information about neighborhoods, maps, attractions, climate, nightlife, food and more. It is also great that once I decide where to go, this resource is available 24x7 from my phone or tablet.

If I want to travel beyond one particular city, I use eBook formats of travel guides. Gale Virtual Reference Library has many travel guides for countries and areas of the world to help me plan my trip. I can download or print specific information I need so I am not weighed down by the book. I already carry enough paperbacks to read on planes and trains!

Even if I am not actively planning a trip, I like to go to Zinio to browse National Geographic Traveler Interactive, Travel + Leisure, Lonely Planet Magazine and 5280 to get ideas to add to my wish list. So many trips to plan!
