The Great American Read

Earlier this year, PBS launched The Great American Read, an 8-part series about the power of reading that explored America's 100 most-beloved books. For five months, viewers voted for their favorite novels from the top 100. On October 23, the top-voted books were honored and the #1 best-loved novel was unveiled.

And the winner is!

To Kill A Mockingbird was voted America's #1 best-loved book.

The finalists were:

#2 Outlander (Series)

#3 Harry Potter (Series)

#4 Pride and Prejudice

#5 The Lord of the Rings (Series)
