Earlier this year, PBS launched The Great American Read, opens a new window, an 8-part series about the power of reading that explored America's 100 most-beloved books, opens a new window. For five months, viewers voted for their favorite novels from the top 100. On October 23, the top-voted books were honored and the #1 best-loved novel was unveiled.
And the winner is!
To Kill A Mockingbird was voted America's #1 best-loved book.
