It is the policy of the Arapahoe Library District that the safety of its employees and the public is of chief importance. Staff and public should be able to expect personal safety, clean, and well-maintained facilities, staff who are well versed in safety and emergency procedures, and the proactive application of safety standards and procedures.
All Arapahoe Library District staff members have access to a copy of the Employee Safety Manual, and receive training on its contents. A complete copy of the Manual is available on the staff intranet, and each facility has a complete print copy. The Arapahoe Library District requires that its employees comply with all applicable safety regulations as defined in the Manual, and affirms that the prevention of accidents and injuries is a priority.
