This Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, Arapahoe Libraries is pleased to honor and celebrate the rich diversity of Hispanic culture. Our team is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued, and we believe that highlighting the contributions of the Hispanic community is essential for fostering inclusion and understanding.

Join us for a month-long celebration featuring a variety of events and activities for all ages. From captivating photographic exhibitions and delicious cooking demonstrations to vibrant musical performances and interactive cultural workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

The Memory Recipe Book: An Event Series

Embark on a culinary and emotional journey with a special series of events celebrating "The Memory Recipe Book".

The Memory Recipe Book is more than just a cookbook; it is a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit and the unifying power of food.

This unique project by Zahara Gómez Lucini and Missing Persons Search Collectives in Mexico, in collaboration with Las Rastreadoras del Fuerte in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, combines gastronomy, photography, and social activism.

Part 1: The Memory Recipe Book Photo Exhibition: A Journey of Hope and Remembrance
Experience the power of photography honoring missing loved ones. Enjoy an exhibition featuring their favorite recipes.
Where: Southglenn Library Interaction Lab, from September 7 to October 6.
Part 2: Cooking with The Memory Recipe Book
Engage in a hands-on cooking experience: recreate recipes, discover stories, savor flavors, honor missing loved ones.
