One Book Colorado

This October, we're excited to celebrate this great event at Arapahoe Libraries: One Book Colorado: A Book for Every Four-Year-Old, opens a new window!

Families with young children are invited to stop by any of our libraries between October 13 and October 25 to receive a copy of the One Book Colorado winning title. Books will be available in English and Spanish, while supplies last.

If you're unable to come into the library to receive a copy, you have several options! You can request a copy while picking up your holds through our Park and Pick Up service, find our table in our libraries' lobbies without having to schedule an appointment or join us outside select libraries for our One Book Colorado Party to pick up a copy on November 7, no registration required.

One Book Colorado is a state-wide initiative that distributes more than 75,000 books through public and military libraries. Their aim is to help families instill a love of learning and reading in their children.

When families read together every day, they're preparing their children to learn to read in kindergarten. Access to books is one of the most influential factors for school readiness.

So head to your nearest library and get your copy today! While you're here, have fun with our interactive display. Don't forget to share your pictures with us on Facebook, opens a new window, Instagram, opens a new window or Twitter, opens a new window with #OBCO.
