Arapahoe Libraries strives to provide an inclusive, equitable digital experience for patrons and employees. In doing so, Arapahoe Libraries follows the requirements listed in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, opens a new window (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA (herein referred to as “guidelines”) for its public-facing website and engages with its third-party digital content providers to follow the same guidelines, when applicable.
Arapahoe Libraries uses a third-party (BiblioCommons) to provide the public-facing website architecture. A copy of the website Accessibility Statement is available in the website footer. All Arapahoe Libraries staff who contribute content to the website, including text, images and documents, are required to follow the same guidelines and regularly audit content for continued compliance, as documented via internal procedures.
Arapahoe Libraries may use other third-party applications linked from its website and for internal staff systems, including research databases and company communication platforms. These services are not owned, controlled or under the administrative purview of Arapahoe Libraries. As part of our digital resource selection process, we require these third-parties to provide their accessibility plans and statements. Content generated or administered by Arapahoe Libraries within these systems are required to follow the same guidelines.
