Authority to Make Official Statements About the Library District Policy

The President of the Library Board of Trustees is the official spokesperson for the Board; the Executive Director is the official Library District spokesperson.

The Director Communications, Programming & Partnership serves as the media liaison for the Board and the Executive Director whenever official media statements are required pertaining to library policies and procedures, positions on District-wide issues and for comments, questions and facts regarding Library District services, operations and programs.

The Director Communications, Programming & Partnership or designated staff, is responsible for all contact with the news media, including magazines, professional journals, radio, television, cable, web, etc.

The Director Communications, Programming & Partnership determines who can best represent the Library District to the media on a particular topic.

The Director Communications, Programming & Partnership or designated staff, is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with local media representatives. This includes keeping local media informed, on a regular basis, about the Library District’s programs, services, ballot issues, building projects and other individual library and District topics.

The Director Communications, Programming & Partnership or designated staff, shall coordinate publicity for anything related to Arapahoe Library District, including but not limited to policies, programs, services, initiatives, etc.
