Judy Blume's beloved book, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. was originally published in 1970 but is still very popular today. This story is being brought to life through a movie releasing April 28, 2023. Abby Ryder Fortson, opens a new window will play Margaret, a young girl who is struggling with a family move, middle school, puberty and religion. She talks to God out loud about her issues and presents them in her own humorous light. Rachel McAdams, Benny Safdie and Kathy Bates will also star in this film. It's Me, Margaret. has won many awards and accolades since it was published 50 years ago including Outstanding Book of the Year, New York Times; Time Magazine All-Time 100 Novels List; Scholastic Magazine's Parent & Child 100 Greatest Books for Kids. This book is also one of the most challenged and banned books because it tackles topics such as puberty and sexuality. Judy Blume has written 29 books and sold over 90 million copies in 32 languages.
