Star Wars Watching Order


Raise your light saber if you're excited for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker! A long time ago...and recently too, a series of fantastic movies began and now you need to get properly caught up, but if you're worried about what order you should watch them in, then "wook"ie no further.

Now Siths deal in absolutes, so I won't tell you that this is the only order to watch these shows. If chronological (including television series) is what you seek, watch them in this order, you must.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (released 2018)


Star Wars Rebels (animated series): Season 1 (released 2014)


Star Wars Rebels (animated series): Season 2 (released 2015)


Star Wars Rebels (animated series): Season 3 (released 2016)


Star Wars Rebels (animated series): Season 4 (released 2017)


Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (released 2016)


Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (released 1977)


Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strikes Back (released 1980)


Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (released 1983)


The Mandalorian (Season 1 currently streaming on Disney+)


Star Wars Resistance (animated series): Season 1 (released 2018)


Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (released 2015)


Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (released 2017)


And coming soon, Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker! In theaters December 20, 2019.
