  • General Questions

    It's easy! Just look under the "Events" tab on the main navigation bar. You can select events by age group, location or type of event using the filters on the left. Click here to view all upcoming events & classes.

     or Most events at the library will require registration.

    When you find an event and click on the title to see more details, you will see a box in the upper right that has a blue button for registration. 

    You will then be prompted to login or enter your name and email to complete your registration.

  • Community Conversation Series

    We encourage participation but feel free to observe or join in as your comfort level allows.

    Please use the form in the event registration to note any interpretation services needed.

    For our selection of panelists we look for subject matter experts who can provide a wide range of perspectives. We want panelists who reflect what we know about the world and who help us see ourselves and we also want panelists to provide new perspectives and help us understand the lives and experiences of others

  • Book Clubs

    Yes, we do! You can find a list of upcoming book clubs under the "Events" tab on the main navigation bar, then select "Book & Movie Clubs" from the filters under "Event Type." You can use the filters  to chose a location or age group to find a book club that's just right for you. If you need help, contact us.

  • Storytimes

    Click on "Events" on the main navigation bar, then use the filters on the left-hand side of the page to select "Storytimes, opens a new window" as the event type.

  • Virtual Events

    We sure do! You’ll find virtual events, opens a new window on a variety of topics for all ages. Registration is usually required for these events.

    You can select from a wide range of virtual events, opens a new window and complete the registration online. Contact us, opens a new window if you’d like help. 
     
    You will need an internet connection to view the event. Some events include audience participation, so you may want a web camera as well.

    Events on Zoom: Registration for virtual events ends 30 minutes before the event begins. ​Before the event begins, you'll receive an email reminder with the event's Zoom link, a phone number, meeting ID and passcode for that Zoom event. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder. 
    Events on YouTube: For events on YouTube, the event listing provides the link to watch the event. No registration is required for YouTube.

    You do not need a webcam to attend an event on Zoom.

    Yes. Closed captioning is turned on by the host at the beginning of each event. You can turn off closed captioning from your own settings if you prefer not to see it. 

    Some virtual events include items like crafts and books to support the virtual event experience. Supplies are limited and require registration in advance.
     
    Grab & Go: Craft kits are available at scheduled library locations prior to the virtual program.
    Play & Learn: Program supplies are mailed to your home so you and your child can do them together.
    Doggie Tales: Books can be mailed to your home prior to the virtual program.

    We currently offer programs in English, Spanish and Russian. Use the Language filter on the Events page to filter results. 
     
    The language filter can be found at the bottom of the events filters, which begin with “Date” and “Locations.”
