We're happy to announce that all Arapahoe Libraries now include Family Place spaces and resources!
What is a Family Place?
In our children’s spaces you’ll find puppets, play kitchens, blocks and dolls, manipulative toys and more – all designed to promote interactive play between children and their caregivers. Play leads to all types of early learning, including pre-reading skills!
Join us for an event!
In addition, we offer the signature Family Place Play and Learn workshop (4 sessions per workshop) for ages 1-3 at five of our branches (siblings ages 0-5 welcome).
At this special program led by our Family Place-trained early literacy librarians, children and caregivers explore multiple play stations including music, art, blocks and more. Early childhood specialists such as nutritionists, child speech pathologists and behavior specialists, are on hand to chat with parents and answer questions one-on-one.
