Using Anker Powerconf S500 Speakerphone With a Vibe Board or Laptop

What you're working with

• The AnkerWork PowerConf S500 Speakerphone is a conference room speakerphone that delivers clear voice pickup and high-fidelity audio for meetings.   

• A Vibe Board is an all-in-one interactive touchscreen display that combines a digital whiteboard, video conferencing, and collaboration tools for use in meeting rooms and classrooms.

Connecting to a Vibe Board

What you need:

• Anker PowerConf S500 unit (speakerphone)
• Bluetooth USB dongle (included: clips into the underside of the Anker speaker)
• Vibe Board

Charge the Anker PowerConf S500

1. Place the PowerConf S500 near the center of your conference table so people around the table are within the pickup range (about 5 m / ~16 ft).
2. Power On: Press and hold the power button for ~3 seconds until lights turn on.

NOTE: The unit will automatically turn off after ~30 minutes with no connection.

NOTE: To check the battery level, press the power button again after the Anker is turned on.  

Connect the Bluetooth USB Dongle to the Vibe Board

• Plug the small included USB dongle into your Vibe Board USB port (located on the bottom left side of the Vibe Board) and power on the PowerConf S500 speaker.
• The speakerphone should auto-connect - if it doesn’t, open Vibe Board settings and confirm or choose the Anker PowerConf S500 as audio source for input and output.

Additional connection options

Option 1 - Bluetooth Pairing with a device

• Press the Bluetooth button on the PowerConf S500 to enter pairing mode.
• On your device, find and connect to Anker PowerConf S500 in the Bluetooth list.

Option 2 - USB-C Cable

• Connect the included USB-C cable from the PowerConf S500 to your Vibe Board’s USB-C or to a connected PC/laptop.
• This often gives the most stable connection and power.

Open your meeting (ZOOM, Teams, etc.) on the Vibe Board.

• This will ensure the Vibe Board camera will capture the meeting room.

Join your meeting via the Vibe Board.

Audio setup in your meeting app.

1. In the meeting app (Zoom, Teams, Meet, etc):

   • Set Speaker to PowerConf S500

   • Set Microphone to PowerConf S500
     (Often found under Settings → Audio.)

2. Test Audio before calls:

   • Speak and watch the meeting app’s mic meter to confirm pickup

   • Play a sound to verify output through the PowerConf speakers

Quick Tips

• Place the device centrally for best mic pickup
• Always verify audio settings inside your conferencing app
• Check battery if wireless - press power button once briefly to view level

Pairing the PowerConf S500 (optional)

Requires a physical connection of one Anker speaker.

• You can pair two PowerConf S500 units to cover a wider table area.

  • Connect one to your PC via USB-C cable.

  • Power the second and press the Link buttons on both simultaneously to sync them together.
