"The Marvels" Comes Out Friday, November 10
"The Marvels" is the latest movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It features three characters we have seen before: Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. These three superheroes become intertwined when their powers are mysteriously connected. They team up to get to the bottom of this mystery and see if they can work together to find out why they switch places every time they use their powers.
In celebration of this movie and of the fantastic women starring in it, we thought it would be fun to compile a few lists of books and audiobooks that Carol, Monica and Kamala would have on their shelves.
Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel
Audiences first met Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the 2019 film "Captain Marvel." She was a U.S. Air Force pilot whose DNA was altered during an accident and she was kidnapped and trained by aliens. Eventually, she finds her way back to Earth and becomes an Avenger, essential in helping defeat Thanos.
In celebration of the release of "The Marvels," we created a list of books that we think Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, would have on her nightstand.
Monica Rambeau
This atypical superhero first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the TV series, "WandaVision." Though, to be fair, she was in "Captain Marvel" as a child where viewers found out she was Carol's goddaughter. Now, she is an agent for S.W.O.R.D. and through a series of events in "WandaVision" found herself with a unique grouping of superpowers.

Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel
Kamala Khan burst onto the scene in the Disney+ series, "Ms. Marvel" in June 2022. She is a spunky, rebellious and creative teen who is a fan of Captain Marvel. Through some mysterious circumstances, Kamala finds herself joining the ranks of superheroes she's always admired. And now, in this newest film, she's about to face the dangerous challenges she always wished for...
