WOW! A total of 1,096 entries were submitted for the first-ever Arapahoe Libraries Read It Forward, which resulted in a grand total of $2,050 in donations from 40 individuals and a group donation from the Library for All program!

Food Bank of the Rockies, opens a new window is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region. In addition to urban areas, they serve rural areas where partner agencies may not exist, but the need is still abundant, including at the Kelver Library in Byers, Colorado. They have been selected for this program because of their work to ensure children don’t go to school hungry.

Colorado Talking Book Library, opens a new window serves people who can’t read standard print by providing audio, Braille and large print books, keeping those with blindness or loss of vision connected to reading, stories and adventure.

Arapahoe County Early Childhood Council, opens a new window works with early childhood centers, programs and staff to encourage quality care and learning. They offer training and one-on-one coaching to support the early childhood ecosystem in Arapahoe county. The Council also provides in-home visitation programs and resource navigators to educate and support families with young kids.

Partners in Literacy, opens a new window coordinates reading volunteers to share books and conversation with students in students in kindergarten to eighth grade. They also have reimagined the Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award so that the winning book is decided by middle and high school book groups from across the state.

Rocky Mountain Welcome Center, opens a new window is an immigrant-led organization with the mission of fostering intercultural learning, understanding and integration among immigrants, refugees and Colorado receiving communities through programs, classes and activities.

Scholars Unlimited, opens a new window provides programs for elementary-aged children. Their mission is to foster academic, social and emotional growth for children living in low-income communities around metro Denver, including Sheridan.
