In 2026, the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, our nation's semiquincentennial. Additionally, Colorado celebrates the 150th anniversary of our entrance into the Union, our state's sesquicentennial. It's a unique time in history to live in Colorado, as our Centennial state observes both anniversaries--the only state to celebrate a sesquisemiquincentennial! Big words for big twin milestones!
2026 also happens to be Arapahoe Libraries' 60th Anniversary!
