Cherry Blossom trees, also known as sakura, are undeniably beautiful with their delicate pink and white flowers. Even though they grow various places around the US and world, the majority of cherry blossom trees are native to Japan. The cherry blossom festival celebrates the blooming of the sakura, considered to be the national flower of Japan. The festival usually takes place Mid-March through early April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival, opens a new window attracts visitors from around the world to see and enjoy the blossoms.
