Sparking an interest in books at an early age will help turn your child into a lifelong reader, and making your own books will help!
For babies and toddlers: Print out pictures of relatives and friends, animals or favorite toys and talk about the pictures as you flip through the book.
For preschoolers and kindergarteners: provide different types of writing utensils and let your child create their own book. It could be about themselves, a story they came up with, familiar people or objects, etc.
