Brian Wilson, born on June 20, 1942, in Hawthorne, California, was an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer who co-founded the Beach Boys and became the band's creative mastermind. He revolutionized pop music in the 1960s with his sophisticated harmonies, emotional songwriting and groundbreaking studio techniques, most notably showcased in the critically acclaimed album Pet Sounds.
Despite facing significant personal challenges, including mental health issues and substance abuse, Wilson left a lasting impact on the music world. His work influenced generations of artists, and he was and will remain widely celebrated as one of the most innovative and influential figures in 20th-century music.
Here are a couple of my favorite tracks.
