If you find your child(ren) bored this summer, don’t worry, the library is here to save the day! Not only can kids enjoy all the amenities of the library, including the air conditioning, but we also have a variety of items for check out that are sure to remedy summer boredom.
Looking for a way to keep boredom at bay?
- Try checking out a camera kit and creating a photo scavenger hunt.
- Discover a new world with Catan, one of several board games available for checkout.
- If your child(ren) like a challenge, check out a Sphero Bolt and a Chromebook and let them dive into the world of coding and robotics. Beginner coders are welcome as instructions are provided.
- Discover ways to make learning more engaging with STEAM kits to check out. Younger patrons can check out a Space STEAM kit to explore the night sky with a high-powered telescope or use the Geology STEAM kit to go rock hunting and gold panning.
- When the temperatures start to rise and the kids need a break from the pool, grab some popcorn and cuddle up for a free movie provided through Overdrive Kids.
- Check out a Playaway (with headphones) and let them listen to their favorite stories while sipping lemonade.
