Copy an Audio CD With Toast Titanium

Please note: Toast Titanium will not copy CDs (or DVDs) that have copyright protections.

What you will need to copy a CD

• CD/DVD drive (Internal or External)
• An audio CD
• Blank CD

How to use Toast Titanium to copy an Audio CD

If you're using an external CD/DVD drive, plug that in now and follow the steps below. 

1. Click on the Toast Titanium icon. It will look like the icon pictured below. 

2. The Toast Titanium home window opens. 

3. Since you are going to be copying a CD, click on the "Copy" (circled in yellow).

4. The following page will pop up. 

5. Click on "CD" 

6. On the next screen you'll see a disc needs to be inserted (circled in yellow). You'll also see where the disc is read from (circled in red), where the disc will be burned to (circled in purple), and an option for how many copies you plan to burn. You might also look at the options in the drop down menu for "When complete." Select whichever one you like or leave it at "Do Nothing." 

7. Insert the disc you plan to copy into the external CD/DVD drive. 

8. If your CD has no copyright protections on it you will likely see the following message. Click the OK button.

9. On the next pop up, you have the option to give your CD a title and artist name. To proceed, click the OK button.

10. Now click on the red Copy button. Toast Titanium will then start reading and saving to memory the track(s) from your CD. 

11. After all the tracks have been read, Toast Titanium will eject the CD and request that you place a blank CD into the CD/DVD drive. 

12. If you're using a CD-RW blank CD, you might get this message. 

13. After clicking continue Toast Titanium will start the burning process. 

14. Almost done. 

15. Once completed, Toast Titanium will note the disc is ready. You can then click on the Eject button.

16. You will then get this message. Click on OK.

17. You'll then be back at the Step 6 screen. You can repeat the process with another CD, or close out of Toast Titanium. 

18. To close out of Toast Titanium. Go up to the top-left corner of the computer screen and click on Toast 20 Titanium. Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down menu and click on Quit Toast 20 Titanium.

That's it! You're done!
