Creating a DVD with Toast Titanium

What you will need to create a DVD

  • DVD drive (Internal or External)
  • Video file (such as an .mp4)
  • Blank DVD

How to use Toast Titanium to create (burn) a DVD

First things first! If you're using an external DVD drive, plug that in now. No need to put your blank DVD in yet.

1. Click on the Toast Titanium icon, pictured below.

2. The Toast Titanium home window opens.

3. Click on Burn DVD. The following page will appear.

4. We're going to keep this simple and just drag and drop a video file (mp4) in the Drop Media or Menu box.

5. Here's what the screen looks like after I drag and drop my Fiesta del Libro video file. Notice Toast Titanium automatically created another "Drop Media or Menu" box below my file, just in case I wanted to add additional video files. I won't be adding additional files, so I'm ready to click on the Burn button.

6. After clicking on the Burn button I got this pop-up message. Go ahead and give your disc a name, then click on the OK button.

7. Now you will get this pop-up message.

8. Place a blank DVD disc into the external CD/DVD drive. Then close. You'll see the following pop-ups while the burning process is taking place.

9. Once the DVD is burned, it will eject automatically from the CD/DVD drive. You will get this message. Click OK.

10. You will then be back at Step 5 where you can close out of Toast Titanium or burn another DVD. If you want to burn another MP4 file to DVD you will want to delete the existing file first. You can do that by hovering the mouse over your existing file and clicking on the red circle with the "X" in it. That will delete it. You'll now be back at the Step 3 screen.

11. To close out of Toast Titanium. Go up to the top-left corner of the computer screen and click on Toast 20 Titanium. Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down menu and click on Quit Toast 20 Titanium.

That's it! You're all done!
