Have you ever read a book with an opera singer's voice? How about a robot or pirate voice? Maybe a sleepy, angry, excited or baby voice, or a favorite animal or cartoon character voice?
The next time you're reading, ask your child to pick a silly one and read the book using that voice.
The silly voices will get your child listening to the story in a way they haven't before, making it possible for them to pick up new sounds or words.
When you're finished, you can either read another book with another voice, or read the same book with a different voice. The possibilities are endless!
