What is BiblioBoard: Your Life Stories and More?

Everyone has a story worth preserving. Your story matters. Preserve it, share it and help keep our collective memories alive.

  • A family photograph
  • A handwritten recipe
  • A favorite memory
  • A personal reflection
  • A song you wrote
  • A collection of artwork
  • A community tradition

These pieces of our lives help tell the story of who we are and what matters to us. BiblioBoard: Your Life Stories and More! is a free online resource from Arapahoe Libraries that gives you a place to preserve, organize and share your meaningful memories, personal stories and creative works.

Your stories

Our life stories are made up of the moments, experiences and traditions that shape us. Whether you are documenting your family history, recording memories for future generations or organizing important personal collections, BiblioBoard: Your Life Stories and More! provides a place to keep those stories together. You don't need to write an entire autobiography to get started. A single story, photograph or memory can become an important part of your family's history.

You can use it to preserve:

  • Family histories and memoirs
  • Genealogy research
  • Photographs and family albums
  • Letters and journals
  • Recipes and traditions
  • Oral histories
  • Personal reflections
  • Community memories

More than written stories

The stories that define us are not limited to family history. BiblioBoard: Your Life Stories and More! can also be used to preserve the many other things that reflect our lives, creativity and communities.

Consider using it to share:

  • Original music, recordings, lyrics and the stories behind your songs
  • Artwork and photography
  • Poetry and creative writing
  • Local history projects
  • Community organization records
  • School or neighborhood memories
  • Collections that celebrate your unique experiences

For local musicians, artists, writers, and creators, this resource offers an opportunity to document your creative journey and preserve your work as part of the larger story of our community.

Individual memories build community history

This resource was created with the Arapahoe Libraries community in mind, with contributions from communities beyond our library district are welcome as well. The stories, experiences and creations we preserve today can become meaningful resources for future generations, local historians, genealogists, researchers and anyone interested in the people and places that make our communities unique.
