Video Podcasting: Canon VIXIA and RODE VideoMic

In this tutorial we look at a basic video podcasting setup using the Canon VIXIA and the RODE VideoMic.

Note: We suggest bringing your own SD card. The Canon VIXIA HF G70 4k uses SDXC cards (UHS-I recommended). We recommend a 128GB or 256GB card (Class 10 or V30 minimum for 4K). Menu settings that reduce resolution, bitrate, and frame rate can reduce file size.

What is video podcasting?

Video podcasting (also called a vodcast) is a type of podcast that includes video alongside audio, so audiences can watch as well as listen. Unlike traditional audio-only podcasts, video podcasts are recorded in a visual format and distributed on platforms that support video.

Why People Choose Video Podcasting
