There is nothing quite like cozying up with a good book as soon as the weather starts to cool down. This October, we are excited to be offering an Adult Fall Reading program where adults of all ages can share in the joy of reading together. We will have weekly online content, prize drawings and an end-of-program party full of celebration and literary-themed treats!
How do you participate? It’s simple!
Ways to Participate
Enter to win: Fill out an entry form for each book you read during the month of October. You’ll be entered in weekly drawings for a chance to win free tickets to Colorado attractions! Enter online or in person at any Arapahoe library.
Read it Forward: In recognition of the books you read, Arapahoe Libraries will donate books to local literacy programs.
Celebrate Together: Join us for a party on Saturday, November 2, from 10 am-noon at Koelbel Library. Connect with other patrons and celebrate all the books we’ve read and donated.

The fun continues outside of the library walls with the opportunity to win tickets to local Colorado attractions each week. These local spots include the Denver Art Museum, opens a new window, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, opens a new window, Denver Center for Performing Arts, opens a new window and MeowWolf Denver: Convergence Station, opens a new window. Reading has never looked so interactive. So, take that avid reading and put it towards the chance to explore your city!
There will also be amazing new content popping up on our website each week from fall-themed blogs and book lists to library tips and tricks. Polls will also be asking you all of the reading-related questions, such as What Type of Reader Are You? and How Many Books Have You Read so Far in 2024? You don’t want to miss the newly added material appearing on the website each week.
Our monthly reading will also be acknowledged at our end-of-program celebration on Saturday, November 2nd from 10-noon at Koelbel Library. The Adult Fall Reading Celebration will commemorate our reading throughout the season and giving back to local Colorado literacy organizations. This party will include a book swap, giveaways and literary-themed refreshments, so don’t miss out on this time to celebrate Adult Fall Reading together!
Pick up your favorite cozy sweater and sip on your favorite fall beverage, as we get ready for Adult Fall Reading this October 1-31.
